My Internship at united international Pictures

My intership at UIP was a short yet very enriching one where I learned about work ethic, office culture, and the general inner workings of the Cinema business.
As part of my Industry Immersion Program during my time in Republic Polytechnic, I was tasked with designing collaterals for film promotion, editing and creating audio-visual social media ads, and assisting in organising corporate events, film premieres, and early public screenings hosted by the company.
I wasn't an extraordinary intern by any means. I was still in a phase of trial and error - allowing myself to experience failure first hand in the real world, but at the same time - to experience the joy of seeing the fruits of your labour.
I took every tasking as something to take in, and do a personal reflection on what I did right, and where I went wrong.
The people I was working under were extremely gracious and gave me many opportunities to learn and experience a range of different things relating to the business, which gave me the opportunity to discover a lot in relation to my work and the kind of person I'd want to be in my career.
